Home renovation
This blog has been a long time coming. A lot of work has gone into the Village Street project and the final touches really pulled it all together. This project included completely renovating the kitchen, designing the layout of the space, redesigning the roof, selecting new windows and doors, designing a deck and patio space, selecting modern gutters, creating a planting plan, and much more. We seriously love how it turned out and hope that you do too!
Sustainable gardening
Sustainable design
We used sustainable wood from a company we love, called Lunawood offer all sorts of sustainable, long-lasting chemical-free wood products for architecture, building and design. Their products are made in Finland from certified and renewable Nordic forests.
We planted 19 different native/native-ish plant species at this location, including Actaea racemosa, Anemone, Darmera peltata and Achillea - which really transforms the garden into an oasis.
To give the kitchen a unique look, we used Danish faucets, Italian tiles and Korean doors and windows and handmade light fixtures. Check out the ‘before’ pictures below to see how far we’ve come!
Native plants
Native planting is at the core of everything we do. Creating healthy habitats for butterflies and birds, it helps your garden thrive. See below a selection of native plants that were used in this project.
